Element NL, the representative body of oil and gas producers in the Netherlands, will continue to support the Royal Netherlands Sea Rescue Institution (KNRM) over the next five years. Element NL announced that the sector would contribute €100,000 annually to the institution at the annual Gas Day in The Hague. This is welcome support for the organisation which ensures teams of volunteers are available day and night to ensure safety in Dutch waters.
Jo Peters, Secretary General of Element NL: “It's a reassuring thought that the KNRM's rescue personnel are watching over our safety. They contribute to a safe working environment for our people on the drilling platforms and other offshore installations. This is something that deserves our support.”

For years, the KNRM has maintained close ties with Element NL for the provision of its rescue work. As a private foundation, the KNRM is dependent on generous donors to provide assistance at sea. Over the past five years, Element NL has donated a total of €500,000 to the KNRM. This is set to continue for another five years.

Element NL represents the interests of its member companies and wants to make an open and transparent contribution to our transition to a fully sustainable energy supply by 2050. An energy supply that is safe, reliable, affordable and supported.
